Diane Moore

No. 1
$450.

No. 2
$160.

Diane Moore is a masterful basket weaver of many years. She has been creating basketry of all forms and has been instrumental in passing on the knowledge of basket weaving to many people during her career. Diane takes fiber art to a new level, utilizing a variety of coiling, twining and free-form styles with local fibers: lilikoi, banyan root, dracaena, philodendron, banana bark, sansaveria, royal palm sheaths, inflorescence and dramatically formed ohia branches. Her wall hangings and floor pieces are trendsetting innovations that deviate greatly from the traditional approach to basketry.

Ed Kayton is often called a "renaissance man" by gallery representatives due to the many mediums he has mastered; oil, drawing, sculpture, true fresco...

His technique focuses on the subtle relationship and interaction between light and shadow, colors, shapes and patterns of subjects, often exploiting chiaroscuro to create an atmospheric feeling.

Graduating from Museum Art School (Portland, Oregon) in 1967, he has been a prolific artist for over 25 years. Kayton lives primarily in Hawaii but also spends several months each summer in Italy. He studied marble sculpture in Pietrasanta in 1994, enjoyed a solo exhibit at the U.S. Consulate in Milano in 2001 and participated in the 2005 Firenze Biennale, an international exhibit in Florence.
